GRUDGE MATCH     A comedy from Warner Brothers starring Slyvester Stallone , Robert DeNiro, Kim Basinger, Kevin Hart and Alan Arkin. Two childhood boxing rivals return to the ring after 30 years to resolve their lifelong conflict. The movie was directed by Peter Segal. And produced by Michael Ewing, Bill Gerber, Ravi Mehta and Mark Steven Johnson. The film, which took place in Pittsburgh, was shot on location in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Ron Howard directs this epic about the depression era boxer, the " Bulldog of Jersey" James Braddock. It's the story of a man who will sacrifice everything to keep his family alive during the depression. The movie was produced by Ron Howard and Brian Grazer. Russell Crowe, Renee Zellweger and Paul Giamatti were its stars. The story takes place in 1930's New Jersey and New York but was shot on location and the soundstages in Toronto, Canada

This Warner Brothers comedy was directed by Peter Segal. It was produced by Andrew Lazar, Charles Roven, Alex Gartner and Michael Ewing. The movie sets were built on the Warner Bros. lot and we shot on location in Los Angeles, Montreal and Moscow. Steve Carell, Anne Hathaway, Dwayne Johnson and Alan Arkin lead the all star cast.

This "cult classic" was directed and produced by Tim Burton. The all star cast included Jim Brown, Pam Grier, as well as Jack Nicholson, Glenn Close, Annette Bening and Danny DeVito. Larry Franco also produced the film. The movie sets were built on several soundstages on the Warner Bros. lot. Location shooting took place across the country in Las Vegas, Arizona, Kansas and Washington DC. The martian Spaceship interiors and miniatures  were built in San Francisco at Industrial Light and Magic.

This Madison Square Garden exterior was built on the side street of a department store in  downtown Toronto. The following photos show details of each storefront.

Breach is based on the true story of one America's greatest spies...Robert Hanssen. This thriller was shot on location in Toronto. The movie was directed by Billy Ray ( writer of Captain Phillips ) and starred Chris Cooper and Ryan Phillippe. The movie's sets...The FBI offices and corridors and O'Neill's apt. were built on soundstages in Toronto. And there was extensive set installations at various locations around the city. We also shot in Wash. D.C. Bobby Newmyer, Scott Strauss, Scott Kroopf and Adam Merims were the producers. 

Mo Better Blues is a musical love story from director Spike Lee. Love, creativity,and obsession with one's art are the themes examined in this jazz musical. I designed the film like a 1950's musical....vibrant colors and bold shapes. However other styles and time periods were used as well, with the hope that I would give the film its own unique "look" as well as a sense of timelessness. Denzel Washington was the lead actor. Spike Lee, Monty Ross and Jon Kilik were the producers

We needed a period street for Cinderella Man. We took over 2 blocks of Queen Street in Toronto. We built full sets in actual locations as well as dressing each storefront. The following photos show the design treatment for each storefront.

Peter Hedges wrote and directed this fantasy film about love and family and the boy who comes from the garden one magical night. This Disney film was shot on location in Georgia and on soundstages in Atlanta. Jennifer Garner, Joel Edgerton, and Dianne Weist are the actors. Scott Sanders, Ahmat Zappa and Jim Whitaker were the producers.
